As experienced architects, Terrell Wong, Clelia lori and Anne Stevens understand the important connection of home and neighborhood to quality of life, their vision of the houses of the future includes homes custom tailored to each household, tree-lined streets, real connections to nature and the built environment and buildings that are less of an ecological burden. The archetype for a sustainable house was a national design competition organized by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority and the Design Exchange. The challenge was to design a single family home that demonstrated the best in environmentally sustainable design and would be a model for housing development in the GTA and beyond.
Terrell, Clelia and Anne saw this as their opportunity to make a statement, express their hopes and desires and make a difference. BUILDING BLOCKS was their response to the competition brief, and earned first place.
